The most important part of the process of creating a meaningful ceremony is at the very beginning. In our initial meeting, we engage in a mutual "getting to know you" session. At that time, we go through a process of becoming acquainted and comfortable with each other. Subsequently, we discuss both the spiritual dimensions of the transitions you are seeking to honor and where you are in your life process. In addition, we look at your aspirations and needs. Rabbi Fisdel also spends time reviewing the traditional rituals that are often involved in the type ceremony you are looking for and carefully goes over creative options that might suit your purposes.

In a separate session, Rabbi Fisdel works with you crafting the ceremony and determining the appropriate rituals that should be included. The work is centered on developing and refining what is most important to you emotionally and spiritually and how that needs to be effectively expressed. The session also includes time for whatever personal counseling would be helpful in preparing for the event and for the reality that will emerge from it, once the transition gets underway in your life.

At that juncture we confirm the time and place and refine any details as required. If you have any subsequent questions, Rabbi Fisdel is always available by phone.
